Company Profile

Benchmark Technology Group is seeking a sales professional with a hunter mentality for selling technology related software, hardware and services solutions, and bundles of one or more of these to prospects and existing customers in a named territory. The role is predominantly office-based in Alpharetta, GA, but may require up to 5-7 business days of travel per month.

Software products offered by this position consist of banking automation solutions that are usually deployed in retail bank branches or for Commercial-Treasury Banking. Hardware products offered by this position can be new or refurbished equipment and is typically part of an automation solution used by FIs in its branch banking or Commercial-Treasury Banking. Technical projects offered by this position may consist of site surveys, customer onsite equipment installations, customer onsite software upgrades, customer de-installations, and closings, on-demand move/add/change work orders, onsite troubleshooting, remote software installations or conversions, recycling services, chain-of-custody data destruction services, staff-augmentation, depot repair services, or fulfillment service programs.

Job Description

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· BA or BS Degree or equivalent work / industry experience and 5-7 years of experience

· Strong business development skills to include pipeline creation with the ability to move deals through the pipeline

· Possess strong closing skills & the ability to overcome objections

· Have the ability to articulate ideas and concepts via the phone, email and web-based technologies

· Have excellent written and verbal skills

· Have the ability to exhibit a consultative style with prospects as appropriate

· Possess the ability and discipline to utilize a CRM tool systematically and diligently

· Have an intermediate to strong command of the Microsoft Office suite

· Have the ability to sell an intangible like software and technology services

· Have a working knowledge of financial terms and related computing technology

· Required to achieve or exceed a periodic quota within the assigned territory

Personal Skills and Competencies:

· Candidate must be a self-starter, resourceful and possess the willingness to consistently comply with company procedures

· Problem solving skills and active listening skills a must

· Experience selling solutions to various departments and levels in banking or similar industry preferred

· Ability to collaborate and successfully work in a team environment required

· Relationship & account management skill & experience required

· Discipline to complete orders and/or reporting thoroughly and accurately as assigned

· Results-oriented and competitive performer desired


This role is base plus commission, and the commission is an uncapped plan. It is key that you enjoy working in a team environment and are willing to learn from others and share your best practices and ideas. You will need to have a winning spirit with a high sense of urgency to build a revenue stream quickly.
