BDR Edu-Tech Consultant

Company Profile

Satchel began in the classroom, built by then Assistant Headteacher and now CEO, Naimish Gohil. Driven by the desire to reduce teacher workload and bring together teachers, students and parents we started building tools that unlock teachers’ superpowers and unite all parties in the teaching & learning process.

Today, over 1600 schools use Satchel products, with a third of all UK secondary schools using our flagship product, Show My Homework.

Our team, based near Shoreditch in London, are on a mission to help teachers and students realise their potential through the use of edtech software designed to meet their exact needs, solving a real problem, never replacing the skills and talent they already possess.

Job Description

Satchel is an established UK company in the education technology sector and the fastest
growing company in the US market. Recognized by BETT (the world’s leading learning
technology showcase) for ‘Innovation in ICT’, our products are unrivalled in the marketplace
and as a result we are rapidly expanding in US territories.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a business that is in the relatively early stages of growth
in the US, yet has already built a dazzling reputation in the EdTech industry.
There is fantastic scope for career development and great financial rewards - you just need to
demonstrate commitment, a fantastic work ethic, and a willingness to go above and beyond.
The Role
This role is vitally important to us, and is therefore highly incentivized. You have the
opportunity every day to turn a cold lead into the beginning of a new partnership. Our
education consultants are passionate about education and know how our products can
positively impact the success of school district leaders, principals, teachers, students, parents
and communities. There is nowhere to hide in this team as their results not only pay our
salaries, but also drive the future of the business.
The Person We are Looking For
You consistently demonstrate warmth and integrity, two of our core values. You know how to
be persuasive, without being pushy and aggressive, and you build rapport quickly and
develop long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
We are not looking for an experienced sales person, but someone who is willing to learn,
adapt and embark upon a sales career. Seizing opportunities presented in front of you is a
necessity. You must be hard working and resilient. There will be a number of
disappointments, and you must have the courage and determination to put them behind you
and chase the next opportunity.
Listening is a crucial part of understanding our prospects. Demonstrating empathy is what
will separate successful candidates and ensure long-term relationships are formed.
Target- and results-driven individuals are a must.
