Company Profile

Maker Wine is a Bay Area-based, women-run startup that partners with diverse, best-in-class, independent wineries and winemakers to bring their premium, bottle-quality wines straight to your door. Maker has picked up awards and recognition ranging from Forbes to Wine Spectator, and our portfolio includes the highest rated canned wines in the world!

We are a small-but-mighty team shaking up the wine world and lifting up the little guys. We are storytellers, curators, and experience-makers. We want to fix a broken system that adversely impacts small producers and make premium wine approachable to everyone.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Corporate Virtual Wine Tastings and Gifting have grown to be our largest channel. We ship our premium canned wines to teams at companies like Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Coinbase, and one of our virtual somms leads an engaging tasting of our wines.

Maker is ready for a B2B sales leader that can own this exciting channel and take it to the next level. On day 1, you’ll inherit an active pipeline and growing client list, and you’ll be tasked with growing the channel and bringing Maker into the homes and offices of corporate customers all over. Your role will include:

Leading Maker’s B2B offerings and overseeing the sale from end-to-end for corporate partnerships, virtual events, group gifting, charities, and other strategic BD opportunities.
Serving corporate clients from initial lead / intro through to order execution and handoff to the fulfillment team - negotiating pricing, scoping the sale, and communicating professionally to deliver a stellar client experience...and always thinking about how to point the end customer back to our ecomm experience!
Liaising with Wine Educators (sommeliers) on virtual wine tastings to ensure clients have a tailored, top-notch tasting every time.
Communicating directly with clients, prospects, and across the Maker team; intaking new orders and handing them off to the fulfillment team for execution, working with marketing, customer service and development (tech) teams as needed.
Growing the channel from tens of thousands in monthly sales into the hundreds of thousands and up over the coming years.
Logging all sales activity in the CRM; attending and contributing in weekly team meetings; reporting out on key sales metrics and objectives.
Keeping tabs on what’s happening in the market and ensuring Maker is at the forefront of innovative ideas to support our corporate partners and awesome wine experiences
Directly support the Cofounder & COO in building out Maker’s go-to-market strategy. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at a super fun fast-growing company...the sky is the limit!
