Sales Director – Specialty Food Importing

Company Profile

Our client has been in the food import and distribution space for nearly 20 years. They have strategic headquarters in Boston, China and Mexico to ensure quality and dependability for all of their products and customers. They are expanding their US sales team and looking to a dedicated Sales Director to their Importing and Sales team focused on specialty food items such as frozen shrimp, Italian meats, dried fruit and nuts or beans and legumes.

Job Description

• The Sales Director will be building a book of business across manufacturers, food service distributors and retailers.
• The Sales Director will be tasked with selling full containers/truckloads vs. smaller pallet shipments and creating programs to commit to ongoing ordering and shipments.
• The Sales Director will be selling direct product, as well as working with customers to create private label / white label brands.


• 7+ Years of experience in wholesale food import space
• 3+ Years selling programs into retailers and food service organizations
• Experience with a $10M+ quota

Location: Remote work environment; must be comfortable working primarily from a home office and traveling up to 10%
