New England Environmental Equipment, Inc. (NE3) is an established sales rep firm located in Bedford, Massachusetts with clients located throughout the six New England states. Our major focus is sewage treatment equipment, however we have four areas of focus, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Natural Resources Monitoring and Storm Water Run-Off Monitoring (drainage).

Job Description

Currently, an opening exists for an Inside Support Representative. The firms NE3 represents manufacture extremely well-engineered products and excel in the promotion of their products through trade journals, tradeshows, webcasts, mass-mailings and mass e-mailings to specific client bases. NE3 promotes these manufacturers with the belief that a superior product that is well represented will be highly desirable.

The Inside Support Representative will be a critical piece of NE3, working in concert with the sales team in order to ensure business operations move smoothly. These duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assist outside sales people with Sales and Marketing orders and issues
• Generate equipment & parts quotes
• Monitor projects (ISqFt) utilizing 3rd Party software, identifying sales opportunities on bidding jobs
• Database Management
• Email campaigns
• The purchase of equipment, the invoicing of the customer using QuickBooks, and the payments to our manufacturer partners
• Assist customers with parts orders, independent of sales reps
• Office maintenance, keeping the office organized and maintaining sufficient stock of office supplies and literature.
• Sign up for trade shows, coordinate trade show supplies, coordinate with manufacturers attending the shows, hotels & airport info.


NE3 needs a proactive and punctual person. NE3 needs someone who will be able to work independently, recognizing the urgency and importance of sending invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner, well-maintained customer database records, and monitoring customer orders throughout all phases of the sales cycle. This role requires flexibility, as the diverse set of responsibilities will change to fit the needs of the business.

NE3 is a small company so the successful candidate must be able to respond to a multitude of issues in a proactive way. Training will be provided to help you develop an understanding of this industry’s business cycle. Once an order is obtained, you will be responsible for moving it through the various required stages. The successful candidate must have the ability to recognize and resolve problems and to identify opportunities to best serve our clients.

NE3 has many loyal customers and the ability to foster long-term relationships is essential. The successful applicant should have an innate enthusiasm to help the customer. Success is defined as, “the equipment is working correctly and the customer is happy.”
